Solid Bronze
the band's latest release (Nov. 2001) is yet another Greatest Hits
package. It has failed to have the same impact as COUTC, but
has still been a great success, considering the band REALLY didn't
want this album released!
Check out that remix of The Mediterranean by Morcheeba.

Q Review
In hindsight, The
Beautiful South's 1994 Best Of, Carry On Up The Charts, was a little
premature. By end of the decade the nation's favourite jukebox
troubadours had clocked-up another eight singles, including five Top
20s, and it was suddenly outdated. Hence this second, superior stab,
covering the best of both eras. The cute cynicism of early hits Song
For Whoever and A Little Time is still the main attraction. But,
with their gallows humour, jaunty tunes and ability to encapsulate
life in three middle-of-the-road minutes never faltering, latterday
additions aren't far behind. In Rotterdam, Don't Marry Her and
Perfect 10 there are enough mid-tempo nods, winks and sing-alongs to
make this another lunchtime drinker's favourite.****(4 STARS)
