The Beautiful South are recording a new album of cover versions this spring.  It is understood that it will be part of a new 3 album deal with Sony Music, look out for a tour later this year, and Paul has already written a bunch of new material for recording later in the year

It is rumoured (that's with a "u" for American readers) that The Beautiful South have signed a new 3 year deal with Sony Records, and hope to release a new album full of cover versions later this year - in the mean time it looks like Dave Hemingway's new album will see the light of day this summer!
